Lucy does not handle me being away very well. When I got home last Tuesday from Alabama, she wasn't acting quite right. She was going to the bathroom every hour or so and taking a long time doing it. I have worried about her having diabetes before so now I was really nervous. She was drinking a lot and going a lot. My only thought was, a new baby and a newly diagnosed diabetic dog. Great. Anyway, Danny stepped up to the plate and took her to the vet last Friday where he was told she most likely had a urinary tract infection since there was blood in her urine. I was super excited!!! That is curable. Danny has taken on the responsibility of giving her the antibiotic twice a day for the next 10 days. He tricks her by putting a little peanut butter on the end of the syringe. (and he tries to say he hates this dog:)
