This is Amish Friendship Bread. It is AMAZING!! How it works is someone gets a "start" (This is a cup of batter in a zip lock bag). They say the start must come straight from the Amish because they are the only ones that know the recipe. (not sure about that) Anyway, you have the start for 9 days mashing it, adding ingredients, mashing again then on day 10 you bake. From this batter you have been working with for 9 days, you get 4 new "starts" to pass to friends. I baked today and added bananas and walnuts to one batch and apples to the other. Can't wait to eat it!!

So, I turned 27 yesterday. I don't like the sound of 27. As I get older I find birthdays aren't that exciting. I worked all day then out to dinner with Danny. I'm not complaining, just saying that turning 10 or 18 was more fun. Last year was the first birthday in my life that I didn't have a cake. I didn't say anything to Danny at the time but made sure to drop a hint this year. There must have been a misunderstanding with the cake lady because she spelled my name Peige. Never the less, the cake was great and 27 will be an exciting year because Fletcher will join us soon.
